We had a good meeting, the attendance was a little low compared to what we normally have. It appears the gas prices are starting to take there toll on the meeting attendance and event attendance. Come when you can, the fellowship is always great any time the club gets together.
I wanted to let all of you know that if everything goes as planned on Friday 7/18, I will be changing our email address and our home phone number. We will still have the same cell phone number but we are switching over to the fiber optic Verizon FiOS system for internet, TV and home phone. The first email I send out under the new email address could end up in your spam box due to the filter you may have and the fact that my new email address is not in your address book yet, watch for an email informing you of my new email address. I am hoping that the additional speed for the internet will free up some of my time on the computer to do other things !!! Plus we are saving $20.00 a month and receiving more movie channels and a faster internet. Keeping my fingers crossed it works as good as everyone says it does … J ..

Thursday July 17th – 3rd Thursday in the Hollywood District
This is the Hollywood Theater anniversary, they have some great things planned, and they are going to close Sandy Blvd for 2 hours so everyone can enjoy all the music and other events going on that evening. Saturday July 19th – Wine Cruise
We will be leaving the Safeway parking lot at 10:00 on the 19th to start this fun and exciting cruise that Bill, Bonnie, Peter and Claire have planned for all of us. I hope that all of you can join us to enjoy the fellowship and the scenery. Please let me know if you are going so we do not leave anyone behind.
Saturday July 26th – Capital Cruiser Car Show and Casino Days
If any of you are interested in cruising up to this fun event please let me know, Jody and I are going to try and make it up there this year. They put on a great event and it is for a great cause, registration day of the show is $15.00 per car. The location this year is at the Red Wind Casino in Olympia, WA. Saturday August 2nd – Abundant Life Cruise In
Some of you attended this car show last year and had a great time; the church is located at 17241 SE Hemrick Road, Happy Valley. The show goes from 10:00 to 3:00 with a BBQ, raffle prizes, music, dash plaques and goody bags. $15.00 registration fee includes framed photo of your vehicle and polo shirt. Show sponsors are Joe’s, Team Latus Motors, Weston Dealership and Abundant Life Church. If you are interested in going please let Becci know at beccizzz@comcast.net
Saturday August 9th – Meeting night / Saturday Night Movie
We are in the process of putting together a movie night for our August meeting, we will be showing a movie on the big screen in the chapel and if enough people interested we can show a different movie down stairs on the big screen TV also. Right now we are trying to pick a movie that you all would like to see. We would like your opinions of what you would like to watch … a newer full length movie with an intermission of popcorn, hot dogs and drinks ….. a shorter older classic movie with popcorn, hot dogs and drinks afterwards or before …. a shorter comedy DVD maybe like Red Skelton, Bill Cosby, I Love Lucy, Bewitched, Red Neck Comedy Tour, etc etc … Please let us know what you think.
Sunday August 10th – The 3rd Annual Hunt
Allan, Mindy, Mary Lou and Rudy are planning another great Hunt for us, of course all Allan would tell us is that we start in Vancouver this year and we need to bring a picnic lunch since we are ending up at a park for lunch and it starts at 10:00 …. Allan is keeping the details a secret again this year until the night of August meeting !! Milen is starting to get worried again since he now has to cross the big river, Carol may want to ride with someone … lol .. J … just kidding … lol .. or am I ..
Friday and Saturday August 15th and 16th – MT Rainer Cruiser Club Meet N Greet in Auburn, WA
If you are interested in going to this fun event let me know, Jody and I are going to try and make it up on Saturday for the day. I know that Allan and Mindy are going up for both days so if any of you want to go up for the Friday night event, contact Allan so you can cruise up together. This is MT Rainer Cruisers 4th Annual Meet n Greet, there will be a live band, food catered by Outback, raffle, awards and great fellowship. Registration is $10.00 per car. The location of the event this year is at Matson Dodge, 2925 Auburn Way N, Auburn WA. 2008 Vacation Cruise to Coeur D’Alene – Sept 3rd – 7th
It is still not too late to sign up for this great, fun and exciting vacation cruise we have planned for the club this year. Don and Linda are doing an excellent job of putting this cruise together. We have 8 people from Canada meeting us there, we have 4 people from the Tri Cites club meeting us, 3 people from the Capital Cruiser Club meeting us, 2 people from the MT Rainer Club meeting us, 46 people from our club going and a few local people from the Spokane club meeting us for some of the events. There are still rooms available at the hotel, we can arrange for more seats at the Rockin B Ranch and we rented the entire River Boat so we have room for 20 more people on that part of the cruise (the more people on the River Boat the lower the cost will end up being). Come join us for another GREAT vacation cruise !!! For you planning purposes, I am thinking about doing a Crater Lake / Gold Beach Vacation Cruise next year !! Alexia, Stan and Duggan contacted me about talking to our club about their business and the benefits/services they have to offer the club members. They are located at 12855 SW Beaverdam Road, Beaverton, OR – phone is 503-671-9615, they talked to the club about window tinting concerning the legal limits, how the law reads, the benefits of blocking harmful uv rays from the sun not only for you cars interior but also your skin. They have offered to do a full window tint of your PT for $200.00 or rear tint only for $180.00. If you call them make sure to tell them you are with TVCC so you get the correct price. They also talked to us about Clear Bra and how it can protect your paint in areas that are targets for rock chips and etc. They also showed us some of their vinyl graphics they can install on your vehicle, boat or RV. If you are interested in any of these products I am sure they will give all club members a discount off their regular prices, just make sure to inform them you are a member of TVCC.
Believe it or not we did not have one person at the meeting that had a birthday in July …. Hmmmmmmm … all except for our new Grandson that was born on July 4th, Brandi had a 7lb 4 oz baby boy on Friday July 4th. Everyone is doing great, Grandma was there to help but has since return home to make sure I am not getting into any trouble… lol …
